BE A CLIMATE CHANGE AGENT
Now is the point in history were you have personal power to change the planet and the people living on it. THIS IS YOUR MOMENT. Never before in history has each individual (on both sides of the digital divide) had more power to make change in the world.
Information is the key, and again, never before have so many people on the planet had access to information through the Internet, television, radio, newspapers, magazines, photography, mobile phones and word-of-mouth.
Gandhi said: “Be the Change You Want to SEE in the World” -
Early in the 20th Century this small, frail man changed the world in a non-violent way by encouraging each person who heard the message to CHANGE THEMSELVES, and to BE A CHANGE AGENT, influencing others to share the hope and optimism of living in a better world.
It is now the early 21st Century, and we have a new crisis on the Earth, it is not ideological or political, but this time it is SOCIAL, ENVIRONMENTAL and ECONOMIC, and it affects the CLIMATE and EVERYONE on the Planet.
So now in the 21st Century we say: “Be a Climate Change Agent”
… and the objective is the same. Through peaceful, cooperative, harmonious human interaction, each of us has the responsibility and opportunity to be part of the solution to Social Inequity, Environmental Challenges and Economic imbalances.
…each one of us is part of the solution. However we must MOVE OURSELVES from being part of the problem to part of the solution.. no one can do it for us… it is our individual responsibility and opportunity.
Your friends at the Institute encourage you to BE.
There is no required membership to BE a Climate Change Agent… just do it. Talk about it with your friends, challenge each other on what is good for the Planet and what is not. Make up your own minds. Act on your ideas. Be Creative. Explore new ways to save money, save resources, protect and save cultures and communities.
Tell us about what you are doing… (as a Climate Change Agent).. share the 3 finger “Peace Plus One” Sustainability Symbol with your friends and tell us when others are also encouraged (by you) to share the fun of being part of the Solution to Climate Change, Global Warming, Social and Economic Imbalance.

BECOME A CLIMATE CHANGE AMBASSADOR
The Institute’s first Climate Change Ambassador to Canada is Julianna Slomka, in British Columbia. 
Julianna has organized school visits, promoted community participation and 
informed Canadian citizens of the first year anniversary of the 3 finger “Peace Plus One” Sustainability Symbol.
Julianna is a dynamic, creative person who is becoming well known for her passions for dancing the Argentine Tango, her artistic expression in drawing, painting on canvas and unique jewelery.
A community-minded person, Julianna is a wonderful representative for the Institute’s message of personal balance of Society, Environment, Economy. Julianna volunteers to help any member of Society in need, is Environmentally
conscious in her daily activities and participates fully in sustaining a healthy, vibrant Local Economy where she lives.
Julianna creatively promoted and organized a Celebration of the February 1st Sustainability Symbol Anniversary.
Global Climate Change Ambassador Freddy Law, from Hong Kong.
Freddy learned about the 3 finger Sustainability Symbol as an organizer of an AIESEC Conference on Student Leadership (hosted at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007) where he and hundreds of Climate Change Agents from around the world learned how to share the concepts behind the 3 finger Sustainability Symbol.
Freddy was appointed NATIONAL CLIMATE CHANGE AMBASSADOR for Hong Kong SAR for his enthusiasm and creativity in sharing the 3 finger Sustainability Symbol and the deep meaning and methodologies behind sustainability.
Since that time, Freddy has been traveling the world, working for Google in India, AIESEC and helping Students around the world find internships in exciting companies in exotic locations.
Freddy has now become a GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE AMBASSADOR for the Institute, because he shares a global perspective, always keeps in touch with the Institute, tells us about his adventures and how he is sharing the meaning of the 3 finger Sustainability Symbol with everyone he meets, in Asia, Europe, South America and around the world.
Freddy started as a Climate Change Agent just like you, and now this young man has become the first Global Climate Change Ambassador! Woo Hoo!
We continue to look for Climate Change Ambassadors, first as Climate Change Agents, then as National Ambassadors and ultimately as Global Ambassadors.

Our mission at the McMaster Institute for Sustainable Development in Commerce is to help you be a Climate Change Agent, but it starts with you.
In your daily activities, simply consider the impacts and consequences of your actions in the framework of three dimensions: Society, Environment and Economy… Think Three Ways - and get creative in finding alternatives to the way things have been done in the past.. it’s YOUR FUTURE… invent it using 3 fingers!

Hi there! I’ve been continuously making changes over the past year to make our family more sustainable, not only to save money but also because it is the right thing for the environment. Lately we’ve started taking the chemicals out of our household. I believe it has made a huge change for myself and our family. I have seen a Climate Change Ambassador (Gary Ward) twice!
