As a Beijinger, actually in Beijing there has been a few changes, when I was young, I lived at PingFang (flat house not apartment),every family stay warm by burning coal, but right now each PingFang use electrical radiators instead of a furnace. it’s also safer than before, because at the time many people died by gas poisoning.
and also I was in a picture with Phillip showing three fingers to popularize The World Sustainability Project_\!/

The activities under our Project’s environmental awareness component represent a good example of spreading information on how to reduce carbon emissions by taking simple actions and adjusting behaviours in the daily life: we organize training to teach our green volunteers to hold special lessons on resource conservation, climate change and low-carbon lifestyle in primary and middle schools and to carry out an assessment of the environmental impact of offices and give suggestions on making the office more environmentally friendly. In this way not only we raise the volunteers’ environmental awareness and build their capacity but we can also reach a vast number of children in schools as well as the general public through a series of volunteer-driven advocacy activities. Furthermore, we will soon launch a website dedicated to volunteers and the environment where people can learn about easy ways to contribute to a cleaner future, either by paying attention to a few things in every day life or/and by actively volunteering for the environment. The project’s implementing partner is Beijing Volunteer Federation and our aim is to do our part in improving Beijing’s environment, but we would also like to create a model that can be replicated in other parts of China.

Refrigerators: refrigerators storage the amount of memory in order to put food accounted for 60% of suitable volume, put too much or too little, have to spend power. Food between the food and the refrigerator should be kept between the gap of about 10 mm or more. To use a few plastic boxes filled with water, in the freezer into the refrigerator after the ice is made, this can be extended downtime, reduce boot time.
Air-condition: Air-conditioning to start a larger instantaneous current, frequently switch air-conditioning is very wasteful of electricity, and easy to damage to compressor. At night can be without all night air conditioning, saving nearly 900%.
