Meaningful fun at 3rd 3Finger Anniversary
It was 3 Finger Wednesday (3 Finger Day) and the third day of celebrations, virtual and face-to-face.. with people meeting, sharing and caring about Society, the Environment and the Economy in celebration of the 3rd birthday of the Sustainability Symbol - the 3 Fingers of the Peace Plus One - World Sustainability Project.
We held the 3rd Anniversary event in the same place as the 1st Anniversary of the 3 Fingers - the Bookworm in Sanlitun, Beijing.
Climate Change Agents, Sustainability Agents and Sustainability Ambassadors exchanged their thoughts and views on the 3 finger philosophy and the significance of the 3rd Anniversary of the Peace Plus One - World Sustainability Project.
Certificates, and a “Promise to Gaia” (the Earth) where participants agree that “Oaths sworn in the name of Gaia, in ancient Greece, were considered the most binding of all”

our Society and sustainable culture.

and contribute to a sustainable Economy for our future on Earth.”

and a beautiful “Birthday / Anniversary Gift” from photographer Kang Jing (Tana) was presented, in the form of a photo book and calendar “China On the way“:
“Raise three fingers and a glass of cheer!”
(for Peace Plus One and the World Sustainability Project)
along with the many VIRTUAL parties and off-site parties celebrating 3 Fingers …
i really hope we should do some things we can do, e.g. teaching migrant workers’s children English , arouse people not use plastic bags, … we should focus on some project not just spread the concept. i believe we should promote people by activities and it is best way to arouse peoples’s environmental awareness.
it is your duty, it is our duty , let us go forward to obtain our blue sky, clean water….

YES! We can encourage our members to volunteer at the many Migrant Workers Schools - In fact, great Climate Change Agent Volunteers like Lili, Anthea and Stowe are already doing that at Migrant Schools in Beijing, and soon traveling down to Yunnan and Sichuan provinces to share the concept of 3 Finger Thinking along with learning Sustainable English..
I agree that we should tell people more about what our caring, interesting and dynamic “Three Way Thinkers” and Sustainability Agents are doing in their daily lives_\!/
I also agree with you about the Plastic Bags - our “3 Finger Wednesdays” campaign (see it on this site) includes modifying personal behaviours of how we EAT, how we SHOP, how we decide about TRANSPORT, how we save ENERGY, WATER, and WASTE LESS, which of course includes plastic bags.
