These three young western women are doing their part to improve the lives of Chinese children, giving their enthusiasm and volunteer time to teach English language skills to migrant children, and at the same time, sustainable life skills for a sustainable future in China.

American-born Lili and Stowe and Austrian-Thai Anthea are high-school students from the U.S., living in China for a year to improve their Chinese through cultural exchange while living with Chinese families.

In her introductory email, Lili said one of their main interests in coming to China is to learn about Clean-Tech and environmental policy and how it compares to the U.S.

The three young women arrived at the Chenduo offices in their blue and white Chinese school uniforms, to ask Philip McMaster, founder of the 3 Finger Sustainability Symbol questions for a blog article for “Greening the Beige“.

After a long discussion, the three students were excited by the chance to share the 3 Finger Sustainability Symbol and the Peace Plus One - World Sustainability Project with their friends on social networks and among the students they are teaching now in Beijing and will be teaching in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in the upcoming months.
