The Sustainability Symbol is the embodiment of LOHAS.
The forum in Beijing on the 12th & 13th focuses on LOHAS multiple dimensions, such as eco-living and green building, renewable energy solutions, socially responsible investing, alternative healthcare, organic clothing and food, personal development, and sustainable tourism.
Guest speakers at the Forum will include representatives from United Nations, Global Ecovillage Network; Prince Charles Foundation; Opportunity Green USA; Greenpeace; IFAW; China Sustainable Tourism Association; Sustainable Travel International; Jane Goodall Institute; Mr. Chongzheng Yu, Founder of Lohao City; Dr. Masaru Emoto, author of the famous “Messages from Water”; Mr. Kazumi Oguro, pioneer and leader of the LOHAS movement in Japan; Ms Liao Xiaoyi from Global Village Beijing; Mr Steve French from the Natural Marketing Institute USA; Mr Kengo Kuma, chief designer of Beijing’s new Sanlitun Village; and many more.
The Forum aims at allowing national and international institutions, organizations and corporates with like-minded values to come together and share their LOHAS practices, resources and up-to-date knowledge; learn from the efforts of others; create new synergies; and introduce themselves to a highly professional audience. All this is to make a tangible contribution to the creation of a mutually supportive community that is invested in the future of our society and planet, and acts as a catalyst for positive change.
According to the promoters, attendees will have a taste of living the LOHAS lifestyle, including breathing meditation with the professional trainer Subodhi from Indian Puna Retreat Center; discovering the secrets of longevity enclosed in China’s ancient traditions Wu yin and Wu xing shared by the international expert of longevity Mr. Zhang Mingliang; enjoy the taiji and yoga performances given by the trainer Ms Lin Min.
